OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Authorities have arrested Chris Peters, 30, in connection with a July 4th burglary at St. Barnabas Catholic Church and the hunt for a second suspect continues.

Omaha’s St. Barnabas Catholic Church was the victim of theft Thursday night. The Rev. Jason Catania, St. Barnabas’ senior pastor, estimates that $3,000 to $5,000 worth of items were stolen from the church at 129 N. 40th St. Two security videos from Thursday night show a man and a woman entering the church and collecting items between 9:30 and 10 p.m., both barefoot.

Sadly, the congregation is now trying to recover from the recent robbery. 'Complete disregard for this being a sacred space,' (Fr.) Catania said of the couple. 'They came in, clearly were just looking for anything that caught their eye.'

That is, the  Saint Peter Gradual: The Chants of the Mass for Sundays, Solemnities, and Feasts. Apparently, the seventy or more copies of the initial run were snapped up immediately. One can easily imagine that  The Gradual will become an important addition to the Ordinariate liturgical experience. It communicates a vital aspect of the Patrimony. Diocesan English-speaking Catholics may wish to enhance their (Ordinary Form) Masses by making the Proper chants ( Introit, Gradual Psalm, Offertory and Communion ) of The Gradual a central part of their liturgies. The Church recently celebrated Good Shepherd Sunday. How many were paying attention to Christ's teaching? Addressing the Jewish teachers, Jesus told aspiring leaders, or shepherds, that they had forfeited their position. John 10:25-30 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe.
