The Morning Offering 

Lord Jesus Christ, in union with that divine intention wherewith on earth Thou didst offer to God Thy praises through Thy Most Sacred Heart, and dost now offer them in the Sacrament of the Eucharist everywhere on earth even to the end of time, I most gladly offer Thee throughout this entire day, all my thoughts and intentions, all my affections and desires, all my words and deeds, in imitation of the most sacred Heart of the blessed and ever Virgin Mary Immaculate. Amen.

O MOTHER of pity and mercy, most Blessed Virgin Mary, I, a miserable and unworthy sinner, flee unto thee with all my heart and with all my affection; and I beseech thee of thy mercy, that like as thou didst stand by thy well-beloved Son when he hung upon the Cross, so thou wouldest graciously vouchsafe to stand by me, a miserable sinner, and all who here, and in all the holy Church, this day do offer and receive the Body and Blood of thy Son; that aided by thy gracious prayers, we may worthily approach this mighty Sacrament. Amen.

Two copies of the St. Gregory's Prayer Book (SGPB) arrived a few days ago. It is a lovely work replete with beautiful devotions drawn from the English Patrimony. Both Ordinariate and diocesan Catholics would do well to acquire a copy to access its riches. The SGPB is "a collaborative venture" of the three personal ordinariates and the Anglicanorum Coetibus Society .
