WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

I doubt not then but innocence shall make false accusation blush, and tyranny tremble at patience.

Media. Stephen Colbert leaves his late night throne. Having had his feet held to the fire he helped to create, and subject to a loss of market share (declining viewership) indicative of a lack of actual comedy, Colbert leaves late night entertainment after more than 20 years in the spotlight. Some claim, he among them, that he is the victim of political interference. No doubt, he provided some untimely and unseemly pokes that got him the wrong kind of attention, at least to his way of thinking. If ya can't take the heat... . Perhaps he will use the off-air time to work on becoming less cafeteria and more Catholic.

Religion. As the SSPX vs Holy See battle continues, those of us on the sidelines can and should pray, and avoid pouring gasoline on an already heated exchange. The Society has many beautiful and truly excellent attributes - love for the sacred liturgy, a robust devotional life, and authentic disciplined spirituality. However, obedience to the Vicar of Christ seems somewhat tentative. Let us pray that the Society will submit to the Magisterium established by Christ, and may the Holy Father's actions be prudent for the good of souls.

Society. In Canada - compassionate, easy going, progressive Canada - where convicted felons freely wander the streets committing additional atrocities, we have the "consolation" of immediate access to MAiD, medical assistance in dying, while those seeking ethical medical treatment are often subject to months-long waits before even meeting with a specialist. We’ve heard of patients being offered MAiD after being admitted for injuries like a fractured hip, putting a dark twist on the expression “overkill.” Hospital corridors are too often jammed with emergency cases waiting for attention. Who or what is responsible for the debacle? The Liberal Party of Canada has been in power for 10 years. Things can only get better, right?

Politics. A wave of common sense appears to be sweeping the motherland. The Farage fraternity has made huge gains while Labour has suffered massive losses. A society riddled with violent illegal immigrants appears to have reached its limit of tolerance. Of course, Britain is not alone in waking up to the need for a new direction, or a return to a responsible course. Countries facing financial strain and severe social challenges as the result of "social justice" policies that have enabled violent illegal immigrants to act with near impunity are now deporting the offenders.

Medicine. Lastly, a CIA whistleblower testified before the US Senate, revealing a conspiracy to obscure the origins of the Covid virus. James Erdman III, known as a trusted analyst and described by many as a “highly credible senior-level CIA officer,” spoke clearly and thoroughly about the facts. Multiple news sources reported that "(f)ollowing Erdman’s testimony, several GOP lawmakers called for former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci to face criminal prosecution for allegedly seeking to suppress the origins of COVID-19." Perhaps the pandemic era of confusion and viral misrepresentations is coming to an end. Oh wait - how about the spike protein and all the medications created to mitigate the complications of the jab?

Have patience with all things - but first with yourself. Never confuse your mistakes with your value as a human being. You are perfectly valuable, creative, a worthwhile person simply because you exist. And no amount of triumphs or tribulations can ever change that.
