WORDS TO THE WHYS

In an age of artificial intelligence, too many of our schools and colleges are producing artificial stupidity. Thomas Sowell

A Prayer Invoking The Archangel Raphael's Intercession

O Raphael, one of the seven holy angels
who present the prayers of the saints
and enter into the presence
of the glory of the Holy One:
agent of healing and protector of travellers;
guardian of the betrothed;
vanquisher of demons:
confident of thy mighty intercession,
we entrust to thee our prayers for [name your petitions].
We beseech thee, gather up our needs
and offer to the Lord only those that conform
to His sovereign will.
Amen.

Most Holy Trinity,
Thou Who art Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier,
Who dost inform, form and transform
the souls of men;
hear our prayer of supplication
that we make with the assistance
of the blessed spirit Raphael, Whom Thou sent
to deliver Tobit from blindness
and to guard Sarah and Tobias from torment and harm;
deliver us from all spiritual and physical ailments,
and preserve us in health;
for we trust in Thy mercy and goodness.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

POPE LEO XIV Magnifica Humanitas

Even in the darkest nights, the Lord raises up men and women who refuse to give up, who persevere in doing good, who protect the vulnerable and open pathways to reconciliation. The memory of the saints, righteous people and the oft-forgotten peacemakers, show us that grace does not magically eliminate conflict, but instead it inspires active resistance to evil and an astonishing creativity in doing good (paragraph 211).
