Prayer For Protection

Praesentia Tua ad Me Protegendum | AW

An adaption of an existing prayer.

HEAVENLY FATHER, I praise and thank Thee for all Thou hast bestowed upon me. I beseech Thee, shield me with the saving and Precious Blood of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, and increase within me Thy Holy Spirit, granting His gifts of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, a fervent desire for prayer, guidance, and discernment, that I may know Thy will and surrender wholly unto it. Father, please heal my troubled heart and any wounds to my spirit. Dispatch the blade of Thy Holy Spirit, to cleave and shatter all incantations, curses, hexes, sorceries and all matters genetic, inter-generational and addictive, be they past, present or yet to come, known or unknown, levied against me, my relationships and family, my worldly goods, my labors, and my service to Thee. Father, I forgive all trespasses against me, and seek forgiveness for mine own sins and failings, imploring that my whole being, body and mind, heart and will, soul and spirit, memory and affections, attitudes and values be purified, restored, and shielded by the sacred Blood of Thy Son, Jesus. In the name, power, blood, and authority of Jesus Christ, I bind and break the force and influence of any wicked spirits within or about me seeking to do me harm, and these spirits and their cohorts I command in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, to depart from me peacefully and forthwith, betaking themselves directly unto the Eucharistic presence of Jesus Christ in the nearest Catholic Church tabernacle, there to be dealt with by Jesus and nevermore to trouble me. Kind Holy Spirit, replenish any emptiness within me to overflowing with Thy boundless love. All this, Father, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, guided by Thy Holy Spirit. Immaculate Heart of Mary, spouse of the Holy Spirit, intercede for me and pray with me. Amen.

Spiritus Sancte Benigne, imple omnem vacuitatem in me ut redundaret amore Tuo infinito. Haec omnia, Pater, precor in nomine Iesu Christi, Spiritu Tuo Sancto ductus. Cor Immaculatum Mariae, Sponsus Spiritus Sancti, intercede pro me et ora mecum. Amen.

Keep innocency, and take heed unto the thing that is right : for that shall bring a man peace at the last.

POPE LEO XIV

The right to freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, religious freedom, and even the right to life are being restricted in the name of other so-called new rights, with the result that the very framework of human rights is losing its vitality and creating space for force and oppression. This occurs when each right becomes self-referential, and especially when it becomes disconnected from reality, nature, and truth.

ST AUGUSTINE

The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.

SAINT PHILIP NERI

The greatness of our love of God must be tested by the desire we have of suffering for His love.

ANTONIN SCALIA

Knowledge is one thing, virtue is another; good sense is not conscience, refinement is not humility. Liberal Education makes the gentleman. It is well to be a gentleman, it is well to have a cultivated intellect, a delicate taste, a candid, equitable, dispassionate mind, a noble and courteous bearing in the conduct of life. These are the natural qualities of a large knowledge, they are the objects of a university. But they are no guarantee for sanctity of even for conscientiousness; they may attach to the man of the world, to the profligate, to the heartless.

There is but one thing of real value - to cultivate truth and justice, and to live without anger in the midst of lying and unjust men.

ARTHUR SCHOPENHAUER

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
