Canada Undead?
Bloodthirsty undead feed on the innocent, all while reveling in the very systems that sustain their grim mission. Vampires inhabit the shadows of society. A vampire will even destroy another to protect its dominance.
Vampire culture is parasitic, distorting elements of Christian culture: hospitality transforms into enabling illness, charity transforms into lust and indulgence, and hope transforms into confusion and despair. Vampire culture is fueled by an obsession with gaining and using power to control others and to push corrupt beliefs.

Key Principles of Justice in Catholic Social Teaching
- Dignity of the Human Person. At the heart of Catholic social teaching is the belief that every human life is sacred and possesses inherent dignity. This principle asserts that all individuals deserve respect and protection, which forms the foundation for justice in society.
- Common Good. Justice is closely linked to the concept of the common good, which refers to the conditions that allow all people to reach their full potential. The Church teaches that social justice requires individuals and institutions to work towards the well-being of the entire community, not just for personal gain.
- Solidarity. This principle emphasizes the importance of standing with others, particularly the marginalized and oppressed. Solidarity calls for a recognition of our shared humanity and a commitment to addressing systemic injustices that affect the most vulnerable members of society.
- Preferential Option for the Poor. Catholic social teaching advocates for a special concern for the poor and vulnerable. This principle urges individuals and communities to prioritize the needs of those who are most disadvantaged, ensuring that justice is served for all, especially the least among us.
- Justice as a Cardinal Virtue. Justice is recognized as one of the four cardinal virtues in Catholic teaching, defined as the firm resolve to give each person their due. This includes not only social and economic justice but also justice owed to God.
Catholic social teaching serves as a roadmap for addressing today’s social issues like poverty, inequality, and human rights. It encourages Catholics to stand up for justice by supporting fair laws, promoting social programs, and working to combat discrimination and violence.
Catholic social teaching on justice requires upholding the dignity of every person, working towards the common good, and advocating for the rights of the marginalized. Catholics are called to contribute to a more just and equitable society, to reflect the teachings of Christ in their daily lives (USCCB).
Societies thrive when ordered to God's truth. Without justice to uphold human dignity, societies slowly crumble and fade away.
Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it. Thomas Sowell
Western culture in particular, if there is such a thing as a single western culture, is practically overrun with people obsessed with the acquisition of power to exercise control over others. Those whose quest for fulfillment requires depriving others of their humanity are as inhuman as any mythical vampire. Lacking any humanity, vampires hunt the vulnerable, leaving their victims as withered husks.
Slayer of Fabian Incrementalism
Various left-wing movements have a few obvious practices in common: sustained harassment (by use of ridicule, false accusations, and abuse of legal institutions) of opponents to rob resources and eliminate resistance and to effect incremental change; infiltration (of committees, political parties, administrations, and financial institutions); and intimidation to sway doctrine (policy and laws) and acquire access and material support.
Zechariah 14:12
And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will smite all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh shall rot while they are still on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths.
Transylvanian Religion
"Wokeism has been described by its critics as the omnipresent use of race—and to a lesser extent, gender—to replace meritocracy and thus ensure equality of result. What follows from implementing that ideology are reparatory actions to reward those of the present by atoning for the injustices done to others in the past.
"Some see it as an update of 1960s cultural Marxism fads. Others scoff that it is just a return to 1980s-style political correctness.
"Still more see it as the logical successor to 1990s-type race, class, and gender obsessions—albeit with a shriller and more dangerous Jacobin, Soviet, and Maoist twist. Wokeism’s hysteria also invites comparisons to the Salem witch trials and McCarthyism.
"But few have described wokeism as the cruel creed that it is.
"Wokeism’s natural logic is to destroy the lives of people of both genders, of all races, and—if need be—those of every age, all to leverage an otherwise unworkable ideological agenda. It is nihilist and destroys everything it touches. It tears apart foes and friends alike, whether by fueling media-driven hatred of Donald Trump or faux-deification of the disaster that is now Joe Biden." Victor Davis Hanson
Vampiric Collectivism
The "warmth of collectivism" refers to the idea of replacing individualistic approaches with a sense of shared responsibility and solidarity, though it is highly contested in historical and political contexts. The phrase gained attention when New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani used it in his inaugural speech.
John Constantine: "And the wicked shall inherit the Earth."Gabriel: You judging me now, John?John Constantine: Betrayal, murder, genocide, call me provincial.
Deceit
The idea of collectivism being naturally “warm” or kind is misleading, to say the least. In practice, collectivist regimes—whether socialist, communist, or hybrids—have centralized power, always leading to coercion, oppression, and large-scale suffering. Historical examples include Stalin’s Soviet Union, Mao’s China, and Pol Pot’s Cambodia, where such policies were tied to catastrophic human rights abuses. North Korea, Cuba, and, until recently, Venezuela are contemporary examples of oppressive collectivist experiments. Idealizing collectivism overlooks these realities and simplifies the complex trade-off between personal freedom and social responsibility.
I have never understood why it is "greed" to want to keep the money you have earned but not greed to want to take somebody else's money. Thomas Sowell
Centralized collectivist approaches struggle to address diverse needs and lead to inefficiencies and unfairness, even when aiming to promote equality.
Liam DeBoer weighs in.
"Orwell wrote about it in his book 1984. Evolutionary biologists have a name for it. And the state has built an entire system around it. Here is how totalitarianism captures women and through them, men."
"Every ideology built on inherited guilt and collective punishment ends in violence. Once moral worth is tied to identity rather than action, dehumanization becomes inevitable. Revolutionaries always claim to be dismantling oppressive power structures, but they never seek to destroy power itself, only to seize it. Their goal is not to melt down the ring of power, but to wear it. And in their worldview, the enemy is already defined - those born into the wrong lineage, privilege or body. What begins as moral re-education ends as moral persecution."
Dear Dracula, how do you like your stake?
March 27-29, 2026, the Canadian New Democratic Party held its leadership convention. Public reaction to the convention was searing.
"Public reaction to the gender equity card episode at the New Democratic Party leadership convention has been overwhelmingly one of ridicule and disbelief. Many viewers who watched the clip described it as unintentional comedy, with comments labeling the scene a clown world spectacle where delegates argued over who could speak first by waving cards that granted priority based on claimed identity layers and lived experience. One delegate insisted she had been standing with her gender equity card before the previous speaker was called and invoked her point of privilege to cut ahead in the line. Another delegate pushed back by reminding everyone that such cards for individuals like herself have no value outside the convention space itself.
"Online discussions quickly turned to the absurdity of the situation. People pointed out that the non binary chair at the podium, noted for small stature, prominent ears, and animated gestures, struggled to maintain order while delegates competed in what they called an oppression Olympics. The chair's efforts to explain fixed rotation rules and proper card display amid the interruptions only added to the perception of chaos. Commenters joked that the little mouse like figure resembled Speedy Gonzalez trying to referee a victimhood currency exchange that even participants admitted was worthless beyond the room.
"Widespread sentiment expressed embarrassment for the party and the country, with many asking why such internal procedural fights over hierarchy of victimhood took center stage while Canada grapples with housing costs, productivity issues, and everyday economic pressures. Reactions ranged from laughter at the self own to frustration that a political gathering devolved into tantrums over equity points and perceived slights. Some observers noted it as a perfect example of identity based adjustments creating more friction than fairness, with the cards functioning as performative tokens inside a bubble but offering nothing tangible outside it.
"Across social media and comment sections, the consensus leaned toward viewing the entire exchange as disconnected from reality and damaging to the party's image. Users shared the video with captions highlighting the circular firing squad dynamic, where efforts at engineered equity led to petty disputes rather than productive debate. The clip's rapid spread amplified calls questioning the priorities of those involved, with many concluding that the scene exposed the ridiculous endpoint of strict intersectionality in practice. Overall, public commentary treated the incident as peak absurdity rather than a credible policy discussion, reinforcing perceptions of the event as a laughing stock moment for all involved."
The NDP, both federally and provincially, was once seen as the party of the working class, but that image is fading as hardworking Canadians from all backgrounds grow disillusioned with corruption and harmful policies, leading many to abandon the party in large numbers.
The (Provincial) NDP is "spending $370,000 a year on bureaucrat car allowances amid a record deficit and tens of thousands of job losses. “40,000 British Columbians lost their jobs in just two months. B.C. is buried under an unprecedented $13 billion deficit. Food bank lineups keep getting longer. Yet this government’s priority is making sure senior officials drive luxury vehicles on the public’s dime.”" CPBC; CTF; GTV
Small businesses, hit hard by misguided Covid policies enacted by left-leaning parties, are taxed to the brink. While professing to support the middle class, socialist and liberal governments have ended up treating workers like little more than cash cows to offset the damage from failed policies.
