If we think in terms that limit our understanding of present calamities to mere human battles involving bad actors inside and outside government, corporate internet media and print or broadcast media whose actions are the epitome of anti-Christian bias, then we should count ourselves among the faithless. Given the precise wisdom of the intelligence reports provided us by the four Evangelists and the writers of the various epistles, how can we fail to grasp the bigger picture? That is, how can we miss the fact that there are forces are at work with and against us, glorious angels (on our side) and vile demons (and their human collaborators on the other) locked in a struggle for souls?

Those same intelligence reports remind us that God is far more powerful than any malicious adversary, any pestilence or malignant policy.

St Matthew 8:26

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

St Matthew 14; 28-33

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

St Matthew 17:20

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

St Matthew 21:21-22

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

The prayers of the Ordinariate Mass are bold, never limp. They are icons of uncompromising trust in the power and majesty, mercy and goodness of God.

Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in thy well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Collect, Solemnity of Christ the King)

As we approach the Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe (Christ the King), let us bear in mind, as members of the Lord's company, the counsel of Blessed Paul the Apostle.

Ephesians 6:10-20

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Who is our King - Trudeau? Biden? Though mortals may act the part for better or for worse, the faithful know that Christ only is our true King!

If there is any doubt about the eventual outcome of the war, 

These (men who shall give their power and strength unto the beast) shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. - Revelation 17:14
